Our Association
   
North Texas Association of Real Estate Investors (NTAREI)(formerly known as North Texas Association of Housing Providers) is an investor association (an "investor club") serving the independent real estate investors and landlords of the North Texas region. 
    
                                                         Our Mission
 
Our primary mission is to promote and support the success of our members, and to maintain the high professional standards of our industry, through  networking,  education, professionalism and advocacy.
    
We were established as the successor to the two previous long-established local investor groups - AIREO* and DFWREIN*. Our inaugural General Meeting was held on October 16, 2008.

We are privileged to have the support and guidance of an Advisory Board composed of recognized leaders in the local independent investor community - including George Roddy Sr., Bob Nance, Dave Aarant and Arnie Abramson.
   
                                      Our Philosophy:  We are different.
  
NTAREI is not like many other typical "investor clubs". We function as an actual club or trade association, not as a marketing extension of a private vendor (such as a real estate agency, lender, wholesaler, venture developer, etc.). Our sole focus and purpose is to serve the needs of investors (and those seeking to become investors), not to recruit them as prospective customers for a parent firm. (This also means that our costs of operation are not underwritten by a parent firm.)
    
Our goal is always to provide our members with a substantial program of activities, information and resources which we hope and intend will support their success, further growth, and enjoyment of the profession of investing. Our program is anchored by our Monthly General Meeting, which is our main regular gathering for our membership. It is held on the third Thursday of each month, at 6:30 pm, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (main ballroom), on LBJ Freeway (635) at the Coit Road exit, in Dallas. Non-members are always welcome and encouraged to attend (there is an admission fee for non-members; no advance registration required).
    
All North Texas independent real estate investors and landlords are invited to join us - to help us develop this investor-friendly group to be all that you want and need it to be.

NAME CHANGE: We have recently changed our name, from North Texas Association of Housing Providers. This was done because we learned that some investors were being confused and discouraged from participation because of the name. They were misinterpreting the name to indicate that we were not an investor club, but instead were a public or social services agency, such as The Dallas Housing Authority or Habitat for Humanity. We are in the process of implementing the new name in all aspects of our communications, materials and web site. We expect the transition to be completed, including new email and web site addresses, before the end of 2009. We greatly appreciate your patience with this process.

*AIREO (Association of Independent Real Estate Owners) was operated very successfully, serving the North Texas region for more than 26 years, until it closed suddenly in June, 2008.
*DFWREIN (Dallas/Fort Worth Real Estate Investor Network) was operated very successfully, serving the North Texas region for more than six years, and was supported by more than 800 annual members, until it was taken over by a new owner in July, 2008, who made a major change in direction, away from serving the general investor community.
